The MAGNEX 120 LW is used for localization of buried ferromagnetic objects. The magnetometer applies to detection of pipes, but also and above all looking for unexploded ordnance (UXO), when the depollution of battlefields, after the conflict.
The size, position, and the magnetic intensity of a search object determine the possibilities of detection. Large ferromagnetic objects can be detected up to six meters.
The balanced design makes easy the use of the detector. The sensitivity adjustment and compensation button can be adjusted with the same hand that holds the detector. Electronics and batteries are integrated inside the detector.
magnetometer magnex 120 LW is a magnetometer to saturation working differentially. The design is based on two inductors susceptible to magnetism, placed inside the probe. They indicate the magnetic anomalies in the Earth’s natural field. These two inductors are connected between them to compensate for the Earth’s natural magnetic field. Detectable magnetic anomalies by the probe will generate an electrical difference that is transformed into a positive/negative indication, corresponding to the magnetic signature of the detected target. This indication is also converted into an audio alarm. This begins by simple pulses that increase in frequency as the sensor approaches the object as you go.
The magnetometer magnex 120 LW is powered by batteries or batteries, and is designed for use in difficult conditions. It comes in the form of a compact unit consisting of: the probe, the galvanometer control with rotary switch section and compensation button and battery with its Cap.
The probe can be disassembled for immersion in water or drilling holes. A 25 m cable for immersion and a non-magnetic ballast can be supplied as accessories.
This data acquisition system allows registration and the processing of measurements of magnetic fields. It was developed for the location of unexploded ordnance buried or submerged. This system allows to make a magnetic map of an area, to locate their targets and obtain their characteristics. This equipment can cover large areas in a short time, and detects any ferromagnetic pollution with excellent precision.
The acquisition of magnetic measurements system is composed of: three magnetometer sensors, a framework made of synthetic material, a DLM-98 interface and operation of MAGNETO data software. The frame can be fitted with a non-magnetic train optional.
The DLM-98 interface allows the user to record measurements of probes of magnetometers. DLM-98 can be used in severe climate conditions.
At the end of detection, these data are transferred in seconds to a PC via RS-232.
The MAGNETO software instantly displays a color map representing the magnetic field. The capabilities of MAGNETO treatments allow to locate targets and determine their characteristics (declination, inclination, burial depth, volume). MAGNETO realizes a semi-automatic identification of suspicious objects by searching for the minimum and maximum values of the magnetic field in a rectangle of research. Using the curve measures between these two points, the characteristics of the object are calculated and displayed.
The properties of the objects are saved in lists of objects. Card colors, maps showing the location of objects and lists of objects can be printed. The scale of the maps and the paper size can be chosen.
